As we celebrate the Christmas season, our minds and hearts can be pulled in different directions. We may become stressed over buying the perfect gift, or may worry about which dish to bring to a family gathering, or what we will wear to a holiday party. Television commercials and newspaper ads showcase images of a perfect Christmas.
But, what is a perfect Christmas? As we reflect on that night when Mary gave birth to Jesus, it was in fact the perfect Christmas. God gave us the very best gift… greater than any gift advertised. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 God gave us his Son, what more could we ask for.
May your heart be lifted in praise this Christmas for the wonderful gift of Jesus and the joy He brings to our lives. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
