Swiss Village has named Amanda (Mandy) Hunley, RN, as the Assistant Director of Nursing. Hunley graduated from South Adams High School and has an Associate of Science in Nursing Degree from Indiana Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She began her employment at Swiss Village in 1998 after receiving her Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) License through Swiss Village. In 2002, Hunley became a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) and then became a Registered Nurse later that same year. In 2005, she became a Charge Nurse, and then in 2016, she began serving as the Unit Manager for the Short-Term Rehab unit. Hunley currently serves as the facility’s Infection Preventionist and is a certified Basic Life Support Instructor.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter in my nursing career and all the challenges it is going to bring,” said Mandy Hunley.

Hunley is married to her husband, Dan. Together they have two children, Addisyn and Noah. “In my spare time, I like to exercise, spend time with my family, and hike,” said Hunley.

“I have always enjoyed working with Mandy, and I am very excited to start working more closely with her in her new position,” said Kristy Urick, Director of Nursing.  “Mandy is proficient, organized, and very hardworking. She is knowledgeable of healthcare policies and procedures. She is already familiar with Swiss Village residents and staff. I just know that Mandy will excel in this new position. We are excited to have Mandy move into the ADON position.”
