
Every year the Berne community and people from throughout the surrounding area participate in a variety of enjoyable activities during Berne’s annual Swiss Days. This year, Swiss Village is pleased to participate in several events during Swiss Days.
On Thursday, July 23rd the public is invited to hear the Ken and Mary Turbo Accordions Express. The program will feature a variety of polka music. With over 40 years of experience this band has been performing from Quebec to Florida. They also performed on main stage during Swiss Days
Once again guests will have the opportunity to hear free gospel concert by Gospel Singer, Frances Bond at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24th. The performance will take place in the Swiss Village Auditorium and everyone is welcomed to attend.
The Jay Fox Polka Band will entertain guest with polka music in the Swiss Village Auditorium at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24th. With over 44 years of experience, Jay Fox tours regularly with his Bavarian Band to the Midwest and South. Fox has performed in Europe and has even performed for the former Vice President Dan Quayle’s presidential campaign. Jay and Patrice Fox regale audiences with the accordion, vocals, yodeling, cowbells, and schuhplatting.
On Friday, July 24th the public is invited to take a closer look at Swiss Village’s Newly Remodeled Independent Living Apartments with a tour beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the main entrance. Informational materials and a door prize drawing will be available for attendees.
