New Director for Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion

Swiss Village Names Briana Eicher Director for the Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion

Swiss Village Retirement Community is excited to announce the employment of Briana Eicher, Director for the Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion an outreach/service of Swiss Village, Inc. Eicher, a Jonathan Alder High School Graduate, earned her degree in Food and Nutrition/Dietetics from Bluffton University in 2011. She completed her Dietetic Internship with Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas in 2012. Most recently Eicher was employed at Purdue University in the Nutrition Science Department as a Dietitian for Community-Based Participatory Research, a position with a public health focus that required building connections with people and groups throughout Indiana.

Eicher has experience as Project Coordinator for Voices for Food, a multi-state USDA/NIFA-funded research project, where she worked with rural communities to create food councils focused on improving food security and overall health. While at Purdue, she also served as Coordinator of Indiana’s Emergency Food Resource Network, where she gained experience in providing nutrition and food safety information to the public. She also acquired knowledge in exercise and physiology through her study to become a Registered Dietitian and played DIII Varsity Volleyball and various intramural sports while at Bluffton University.

Eicher was born and raised in Madison County, Ohio and currently resides in Berne with her husband Bracton. “I wanted to be working with people from my community. I am happy to serve the community in which I live,” said Eicher.

The Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion is available to residents of Swiss Village along with area residents who purchase membership. The overarching goal of the 21,202 square foot wellness pavilion is to provide the citizens of Adams County and the surrounding area with the facilities, equipment, and programs to promote an enhanced quality of life. “The Muselman Wellness Pavilion provides the tools and opportunities for people to meet their health and wellness goals,” said Eicher. “The Pavilion is an outreach and service of Swiss Village, Inc and we want to continue that tradition of being a benefit to the community.”

Facilities include an aquatic center, strength building fitness area, floor exercise space, a game room along with lounge facilities. In addition to wellness programming the facilities is able to accommodate receptions and parties.

“I am excited to serve at Swiss Village as the Director for the Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion,” said Eicher. “I am looking forward to being part of such a great organization that emphasizes wellness!”
