The Swiss Village wellness program is designed to address the many dimensions of wellness. Our residents have noticeable improvements in their physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, social, intellectual, and vocational aspects of life. Trained Wellness Staff, Rachel Rosswurm, and Emily Arnold, supervise the wellness activities, which are offered five days a week at no charge for Swiss Village residents.
The daily schedule of exercise courses for both beginner and advanced ability levels include strength and balance sessions, flexibility and balance classes, ball balance classes, walking classes, a circuit class, and a spa class. Once a week, a course entitled Flexible Faith is taught by both the facility chaplain and exercise instructor to weave a unique lesson that enhances spirituality and flexibility.

Resident Story:
A couple residing at Swiss Village have actively participated in the wellness program for the past few months. They were preparing to go on a trip to Italy and were going to be one of the oldest couples in the travel group. They expressed their concerns about being perpetually last and tired. When they returned home, they were delighted to report that they were in some of the best shape of anyone in the group. They felt that the wellness program had helped them tremendously. They even commented about how they remembered to drink plenty of water and use deep breathing techniques throughout the trip. They expressed their appreciation for the exercise classes and valuable health information provided in our wellness program.

Facilities will include an aquatic center, strength building fitness area, floor exercise space, a game room along with lounge facilities. In addition to wellness programming it is anticipated that the facilities will be able to accommodate receptions and parties. The overall goal of the wellness pavilion is to provide the citizens of the southern part of Adams County with the facilities, equipment and programs to promote an enhanced quality of life.
